First time posting but after three months of a non healing fissure I took the side and got LIS surgery yesterday. I have an internal hemmie right above the fissure that would pop out and required manual reduction which I’m sure was exacerbating issues. Anyway I’m taking pain killers round the clock and in extreme pain right now. Has anyone else had the combo done? I need to hear some successful stories and ideas on how to thwart the pain. I’m icing, taking sits baths and applying a heating pad to try and soothe the pain. Pls help!

FYI I had LIS and rubber band ligation. From what I can figure after speaking with surgeon this am the hemmie is now popping out a bit because my sphincter isn’t holding it in like it used to and I’m fairly certain that’s where the blinding pain is coming from. Success stories pleases!!!
