Return to LIS - Considering surgery or already had it?

MPB yes true on the timeline but what concerns me is no BM and hurts worse then having one. I also felt tenderness in the perineum area which could be related to the lis or prostatitis. I am having symptoms of prostatitis so need to see urologist and find out. Its could be recovery and prostatitis which could be hampering recovery

Yes i think to have a smooth LIS recovery you cant have any other issues either with your digestion or in the area near the LIS.
Its frustrating and annoying but seems that some of us will struggle a lot more than others...i hope that you get times when your not in pain and i know when i have those times im grateful and try to embrace them....as like you i went months and months without even a pain free hour.
Hopefully you get help quickly

I do get pain free times but very strange when I pee after it hurts then settles down.could be the muscle goes into spasm . The trigger is sitting period.

Well what a relapse as I had a large BM circumference that of a bit bigger tgen a banana. Needless to say that one hurt pain shot up to an 8 and lasted well over 8 hours. Spot of blood so I may have reopened my fissure. Had to take a tylenol 500 and it finally calmed down to a 2 which I can handle. Hopefully I didnt do to much damage. Went right into the tub after and then had to go to work and was really hurting till I took the tylenol. So looks like more time to go . grrr

Oh nooo Jim that's sound quite bad. I have been having much more formed BMs but they are torpedo shaped and while large not banana sized.
I guess blood is not a good sign but apparently after LIS if you do get a fissure again they heal much quicker so hopefully you won't be in pain too long.
I had to sit for 5 hours yesterday at work and while it was on a fairly comfy seat my butt felt very sore and bruised last night and is still feeling bruised today right at the back where my fissure is feels like someone spent a couple of hours kicking me in it.
On the plus side had a BM yesterday and didn't need to put any GTN on and only felt discomfort not pain...well not until I had to sit for hours lol

MPB. I had a BM back to normal size and no blood little discomfort and was gone after about an hour so may of been a hemmy or it healed quick. I am going to see a GI next week and get checked for any intestinal issues. I really need to change my diet. I have to admit that large one was probably due to getting off track on diet. Well stupid is as stupid does so lesson learned about that. Today was good minor discomfort able to sit longer again so thank god for that. I got to admit that Monday nights BM was a warning not to go there lol.

Glad your doing better Jim
Yes I must admit I'm still way too scared to try anything that may possibly set my bowel off as I don't want to risk spasms ever again.
I think some of us will just have to be careful for ever but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry lol
Just been swimming and my butt still feels bruised but is a bit better...think the movement helped it...only I have to go to work this afternoon and will have to sit on a very uncomfortable chair for 2 hours gggrrrr

No Jim I pretty much have to stay sat down...I work in a bail hostel as a teacher and we are not allowed to leave them at the computer alone for even a second so my butt stays glued to the awful chair for two hours solid (cries lol)
