Thanx guys :thankyou:

Well I'm certain I have a new fissure as even nice BMs are causing pain...thankfully the LIS seems to have stopped the full on spasms but the hours of stinging and burning are back with a vengeance.
I did hope that LIS would stop any new fissures for at least a year or so but obviously that was not to be.
Using GTN and on days when I don't have a BM I'm fine
Hey ho such is life

Congrats on getting through that! Long day.

I'm sending you comforting thoughts.

Just a question - have you had a pressure test since your LIS? Is it possible they were very conservative due to your chron's?

I'm thinking of asking for another one when I go for my next appointment as I really don't feel any loosed when I'm putting my cream up and I still have to force wind out. The botox gave me so much more relief from the tightness

Maybe that's what you need mbp...my surgeon told me yesterday that she may be conservative to start, but that if the pressure is still high she will do another LIS on the opposite side. She said that most of her patients healed with one, but a couple required two and that did the trick.

My surgeon doesn't really want to do another LIS mainly because of my crohns but I'm hoping that if the pressure test was still high he might consider it, especially as I have not experienced any level of incontinence
