Mamafizz - speak to the physio about this for sure - it sounds similar to me, maybe a different location - but similar - and I do not have hems. It may simply be a tight sphincter or other muscle, the physio is likely to give you more info.

That's great mbp, I'm so so happy that things are improving so much. What a relief that the LIS paid off in the end! I bet things can only improve from here.

Thanx GG
To be honest even if they don't this is way better than I thought it could ever get especially the first few weeks after the op.
I will never eat how I did and most dairy will never be an option for me but then I should never have had them in the first place and I may not have got the stupid fissure lol

oh that's so good... so for you once you have the digestive issues more manageable as time goes by this will all resolve for you.. hooray.. Mostly now since Botox the fissure pain is gone.. and mostly the horrible spasms also. Thank God. .it's just the residual pain either achy and sore after ward for many hours laying down usually helps.

or I do have this stiff muscle feeling into the rectum and to the left which the specialist said is levator tenderness/PFD caused by the fissure.. (lol not making it up) Must be the muscular part and the hems. (Keeps the pressure up so that feeling stays there) Luckily I usually only go once a day or every other day, pretty normal, but I still have the constant feeling in there all of the time, since you have had this longer than I would you say that the pressurized feeling is probably related to the hems? or part of the healing process? Do you now have times when you do not notice any feeling back there? Seems as though I always have some type of issue there, at all times. Can't wait for a time when I do not notice anything going on there. lol. I still use the Nitro. Since after I go still seems tight. Hoping the resting pressure will continue to go down as time goes by. It's a month since healed wondering if that's still too early?

Seems to me when the hems go down more the muscles and full feeling will stop annoying the heck out of the nerves back there and will start to go back to normal I read so many others on the forum who seem to have had this also.. Just wish I could find some that say they are back to normal most post this but then seem to disappear! Hoping that's a good thing... haha.

I have resigned myself to never fully sorting out my digestion...I know that every couple of weeks, less if I'm unlucky that I will have a bad flare but that's better than every couple of days.
The tightness and fullness seems to be lessening and sometimes....if I have had a good few day there is very little feelings there at all, I even noticed the other day that I could stand and wash the pots without that uncomfortable feeling kicking in....that was the first time in nearly 2 years.

MPB, quick question. I am starting to think that my remaining issue is internal hems, that thrombosed after the Botox. (I understand that this can also cause tightness and spasms) (Since it if felt higher up to tailbone def different from fissure pain, so that is better for sure) I also read it could take months and months for them to heal as well. The external or prolapsed one is finally starting to resolve so hoping the internal will follow suit.

Gravity make them worse, they must have been pretty weak, standing and sitting just aggravate it.., (can't really do either. ) Just wondering your experience or have you heard of similar symptoms with these? ( Knotted feeling at base of tailbone, pulling achy etc.. Probably why I was in so much pain after the injections..) Wow once this is gone the pressure and tightness should also go.. it was hard to differentiate between the sphincter and the higher up muscles but. makes sense?!

Hi MF
Yes I have over the years when my flares have been bad experienced the tight fullness from my hems. It's nothing compared to fissure pain so I just put up with it until they calmed down, can't say the feeling ever truly went as my flares happen so often.
Had an absolutely awful night last night the worst since the LIS just couldn't stop going...think I have a new fissure now as it's 16 hours since I last went and I'm still in pain, really not impressed if this is a new fissure already.
