Anyone ever have an LIS procedure in the office not as an outpatient? Doc is giving me the option of either.

I have heard of it done, but never heard from anyone who had it done. i might consider it is given the option. I hate dealing withthe effects of GA.

I agree I hate the whole hospital ordeal especially for a procedure that apparently only takes 20 minutes.

I am thinking there was someone in Canada on here that had in done in the office but I don't remember who that was. It might be on an old thread buried way back.

My CRS does it in the office but w/o knocking you out. So if you don't like IVs and don't mind feeling the initial local injection in your anus than go for it. He says he does a lot of them in the office. I'm opting for the hospital, just not the one I work in, hehe.

I didnt get the option but I had a spinal but whatever else they gave me knocked me out..I wish though I would have been conscious-it really freaks me out being asleep for this particular kind of surgery..I try to not think abou it..just something to think about!
