Val - your surgery is on my younger daughter's B-day Image Image - it is a great date - astrologically speaking Image - so I am sure the stars and all of us will make your surgery complete success Image Image Image !
Pinky - A+D is baby cream - just fish oil base and some extra vitamin A and D, - smells like fish LOL, but good for skin. Belneol is cleansing cream and soothing for anal area - great for when you are away from home and need to clean area after BM , or something. I think that your fecal leakage is transient - it is VERY common after LIS for some time and do not be too concerned about it so early after procedure ; ). The fecal matter is VERY irritating to the healthy skin, not to mention one that is still swollen and sensitive after the surgery. I would also try to use some Vaseline cream right after you wash yourself to make physical barrier between your skin and feces. Don't forget that complete closing of fissure is expected after 6-8 weeks at best - it is a long time that this area needs to recover from it all. I hope your app. will bring you great news !
Jen - glad to hear you feel better :truebud: !!! Just keep doing what you are doing Image !!! Image

Jen-Thanks for the link.My sister picked up the A&D cream with aloe vera.she said there were different ones and i told her to pick up the one with aloe vera.is that ok?can i apply on my bum to make a barrier for the leaking stools?
even i feel the area will be compromised for the rest of my life.does it hurt a lot?the spasms must be gone after LIS.it must be so hard with a small baby to look after.how do you manage?ill be alone after a few weeks and dont know how ill cope when i have to rush to the bathroom leaving my son alone.i will pray for your recovery.
val-im sure it is a good omen.will be praying for you.
fiss-can i use belneol on wipes to clean the area?should i wash with water after using belneol?did you apply vaseline on the wound?i hope my crs will give me good news tomorrow.

Good luck tomorrow, hope your CRS is nice. It must be hard having a baby now when you are trying to heal, it's good that your MIL can help you. About the leakage, I'm incontinent too when I have soft stool (like today Image had to spend quite some time in the bathroom....). Do you have any control at all? Listen to the other girls here, they say it's common after surgery.
After what they say, it takes a long time before a fissure heal - I guess it doesn't matter if it is after surgery or if it is a fissure who has to heal without surgery???
I'm quite fed up with all this fissure things: diet, stool softener, on/off pain, constant discomfort, and the constant fear of retearing Image
Like me last weekend, I had the prefect pooh (if I may say so myself :) ), but that doesn't work for this Image ass hole of mine, I have to have mashed potatoes consistency, or else: Image Image Image Image
Well, well - we can be as fed up as we want to - there is nothing we can do! I do hate my sweet little butt, that's for sure.
Take care Pinky :truebud: Corsica Image

Hi Pinky
Good luck for tomorrow...
I hope everything is on its way to healing Image
I can relate to your leakage problem, I have a little incontinence too from the Botox and have been experiencing some stinging and such
I spoke to my doc this morning who said I should absolutely have a barrier cream in place and just like what lab girl Fiss said ,it prevents further irritation to the area, she recommended Vaseline inside and out …makes sense really, should have been using it before now but never mind..
Hope you are doing good Pinky !
Val you have some lucky omens with you !!

Pinky, is there anyway you can bring your baby to the doorway of the bathroom, like in a stroller or baby chair, while you go poop? It's hard being alone even without a baby -- I am alone at home most of the time! Hope you are continuing to improve daily and find the strength and faith to see that yur healing will come soon, believe it in! Image

Pinky -
What really irritating is that I now have a toddler. My son is 18 months. He has to be in the bathroom with me at all times. Everyone does - if I close the bathroom door I can see little baby hands and dog paws under the door. I guess I am pretty popular in my house. Anyway, I find it really hard to concentrate and have a BM with all this going on.
Are you having anymore kids? I want to get pregnant in about 6 months. I think I may just do it despite my butt issues. I mean, the whole area is always going to be compromised anyway. Then again, sometimes I think we should stop with one baby and be thankful for him and my health.
