Yes, thank you, Lecia, for the golf icon. I had a good time today, instead of being stressed about the way I play which is stupid. Golf is supposed to be relaxing and fun (and a stress reducer). Image
I really like the golf icon. You are so computer savvy. Image
Hope you are enjoying your time in one of my favorite states. :)

How do I go about getting in with a CRS? Do I need to contact my Doctor first?

It depends if you have an HMO or a PPO. If you have an HMO, you will most likely need a referral from your doctor's office. If you have a PPO then you can just call and schedule it yourself.

Hoos -
I typed in a search for colorectal surgeons in my area on the internet. I came up with 2 doctors and I saw both of them for 2 different opinions.
Good Luck!!!!

Well upping the fiber is starting to work. I started my fiber plan this past monday. The fiber is starting to get to work in my body. Had a big bowl movement this morning. Althought there was blood in my stool and some pain, it wasn't nearly as bad as yesterday. I took a bath immediately after my bm this morning. Took two baths yesterday. We'll see what happens.

That's great! Make sure you get plenty of water too. 2-3 liters is great. Also if you can add a a tablespoon of flaxseed oil or fish oil (capsules are fine) that will coat the stool to make it slide out better.

Have a great weekend!

Destress as much as you can now over the weekend and it might hold you for a while! Take the hot baths as often as you can so your fissure will bet more blood this weekend.

I carry around a 1/2 gallon jug of water with me all day, where ever I go. I drink the whole thing and sometimes more. I also take flax seed and eat lots of fruits and veggies.

Give a little update on my progress. Last night and this morning, my bm was less painful (still some pain) and a lot less blood then the previous couple weeks. My stool is coming out easier. Wish I would of started this back in march when I first got the fissure.
