Yes I will let you know savaici how I am doing Yes please do look at my old posts, while there is not that much info on a standardized AD here in the states, I had the opportunity to speak with a surgeon while on a business trip in Germany. I was also able to find out that AD’s are the preferred method in Japan. Both which for the most part have medical technology on par with us.
As I said in one of my post when I first met with this CRS who was running very late, I spoke with four others in his waiting room that had this AD done, both male and female and the oldest was about 65, I would say all of them had no compactions at all and were up and running in less than a week. While you do not see much on this form about AD simply because for whatever reason it is not that available here, many that had an LIS, the healing process can be difficult and just look at posts many have complications with this surgery. I just read one where this person can barley move around post day 3…post day 3 for me, I walk my dog for about an hour I went to my daughters basket ball game, then went out to lunch with my family and that evening I went to the mall with my son! From my research, speaking with the OR nurse, my CRS and people I met that had an AD, my recovery is typical!!!!
The only reason that a standardized AD is called surgery is simply because they put you out. There is not cutting involved which mean no blood, discharge, chance of infection from the incision area.
As I said, those who are looking to have a LIS and do not research a CRS in their area who performs this, they are making a big mistake. I am not saying do not go forward with a LIS, it have given many their life back. What I am saying if you can find this method why subject yourself to a LIS???? I have no vested interest here except to pass this on to others and help them as it has helped me.
