wecc - I'll have to call them in the daytime. It's almost 7 p.m. here, PST - so, I'll have to make sure I call during EST office hours.
TY, so much, BTW! Surely they can refer someone closer to CA, should I decide I need the AD.

wecc and Sweet Bugaboo,
Thank you for sharing your research and experiences. I am new to this forum. Would you mind sharing the name and contact information of the doctor in NY who performed your standardized dilatation? Maybe they can refer me to someone in Ca.
Thank you.

Hi, memo -
That's what I'm looking for, too - someone in/near CA who does the standardized AD. Still working on that - but I'll be happy to share any info, as I acquire it.
Take care and hang in there.

Yes please do your research and find an CRS that performs this type of AD. If you see all my past posts, I did a great deal of research about an AD vs. a LIS, I spoke with a surgeon in Germany and was able to have a very good friend that lives in Japan do some research there. She went as far as to speak with surgeon in Tokyo . Both countries perform an AD using a balloon with a very high rate of success. One point which I find very interesting is that some of the surgeons in Germany start performing LIS and many went back to AD’s simply because of all long healing time and many complications. So you may ask yourself why are LIS’s so popular here and you cannot find much if about AD’s. Well as I said, I will let all of your draw your own conclusions.
Anyway..post day 8 and nothing. What I mean by that is no pain after a BM, and just as important..no spasms….no blood and no nothing. I am a still a bit sore and what I mean by that is because I had something the size of a train up there…but none of the pain I had prior. It’s like this never happened. The fact is every one I first met in this CRS office said the same thing regardless of their sex or age. In fact, I played tag football with my 17 son and his friends last night and no pain at all…well at least in that area. The point is yesterday was only ONE week ago that I had the AD….while a LIS does work, please read the post of all the people who have issues with infections, discharge…the pain from the incision site ,living in a bath tub..which by the way, I did not even have to take a sitz bath, no pain killer needed, not even advil. Even the one that are doing well look at their healing time......
As I said before, all of you out there who are looking at an LIS, please read all my old posts about this and run, do not walk and find CRS who perform this. There is no reason to subject yourself to an LIS if you can find a standardized AD. I will say this one last time, I know if it sound too good to be true…99.9% of the time it is…this is not one of those times.

Hello everyone….just an FYI, I went to the gym this morning and worked out. Last time I tried that while my AF was in the better mode, I have to leave. I really have not been able to do anything in over a year in that this AF took over my life. This morning I used the stair master and lifted weights….no pain whatsoever. I came home and had a big BM, once again no pain during or after. A few days ago I played tag football with my 17 son and his friends. Can anyone who had an LIS do this in 9 days??!!!! Fact is…I was no pain at all the day of my AD…did not even need Advil. I have a 16 hour flight to Asia on Monday which a month ago I would have to drugged myself up for and think what may come…this time I have a great book!
I have a great bit of travel coming up the next few months so I will most likely not post. I do have a post AD follow up with my CRS in 2 weeks and will let you know.
This AD is a is a amazing….I have my life back again. I believe there really is a option that is just as effective as a LIS with no complications and the fact is, if not for an old post on this form I would never have found out about it. I hope my experience will help many others think about this before going forward with an LIS

Hi wecc,
Could you please share your Doctor's name and contact information with me. Maybe your doctor can help me in Ca find a doctor. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
