when u feel the bm is close,try sitting in warm water right before and after,it helped me.

if you take pain killers and maintain enough fiber and water, it wont hurt those few days ,until u get over it.

Naina, do you still take softeners to help heal the wound? Do you apply some ointment so it prevents infection? You must do everything possible to help your body.

I'm taking miralax daily.
It's an open wound now so the CRS didn't give me any ointment.
It's still leaking a lot of puss.

For open wounds I would use a cream or Manuka honey if you can bare the stinging a few seconds. A colleague from this forum recommended Boroline, which I tried and I like a lot. It is very soothing and, at least on open wounds on hands, helps tremendously with speeding up the healing.

I feel like my fissures are back too because of fistulotomy
Now fissures fistula and surgical wound all hurts
It's day 4 of fistulotomy

Naina, I wish I could take away all your pain. The only thing i can do is to pray for you to get better soon.
Try to keep your stools as loose as possible for a few weeks, you must not risk anything during this time. Loose to wattery is what you need now!

sorry i just noticed this .
im doing ok so far, some days pain comes back after bm, some days are fine..it's just fluctuates, the wound is like 98% healed , but only this tiny lump still gives me discomfort during bm and after , it gives the same burning sensation of the fissure.every now and then i get very tiny leaks also.
with all that said the bm itself isnt painful as it was before the surgery ,just hoping for this collaterals to go away.

Back to hospital in case i need another surgery.
Dr ordered a CT scan and now waiting for the results to take the next step.
