IBS & AF - Any solutions?

Postby vdb324 » 19 Jan 2014, 15:50

Adding on to my last post, I wanted to ask about IBS. I wanted to create a separate topic, as it is somewhat different. I feel lately that I have the feeling of needing to use a bathroom more than once a day. It's usually while working out or shopping (for some reason). I think I get a little anxious during these activities and am more active, so my bowels get a little sensitive.

It's funny because the sensation goes away sometimes if I practice breathing slowly and deeply, sitting down and relaxing for a bit, or just quitting the activity altogether. Having only one BM a day has been instrumental in helping me heal, so I am trying to figure out ways to limit the BMs.

I haven't been diagnosed with IBS, but lately, it seems like it has become somewhat of a thing for me. Raw veggies just don't agree with my stomach. Then, any anxiety makes me feel like I need to use the bathroom, and it's a fleeting sensation sometimes.

Is there anything they can do to resolve or at least help the IBS, if that's what it is, in these situations?

First you need to find out if you truly have a digestive issue like IBS. Then from there you can examine and try your options. But diagnosing your symptoms is the first step . . . .

I have had good success with a series of Aloe Vera and olive oil retention enemas for my IBS. Seems to coat and sooth the colon lining also makes BMs much smoother helping my fissure heal. Just a more natural way for me at least.
