Hi Joey,
I'm sorry to read of your traumas with this all and truly hope things work out OK for you. No, LIS does not always work the first time and there are posts here of people having had his experience - the procedure may not have been carried out properly or not sufficiently for your needs. On saying this, it is generally a highly successful procedure for the majority but not always the case for an unfortunate few. Are you able to get an opinion on this from an alternative CRS? Can you see another GP? Your treatment sounds quite shocking and not particularly thorough in the earlier days, so I can understand your anger about your situation. Try to be assured that there will be a way out of all this for you at some point and one day, you will feel better again. That's pretty hard to believe when you hit the lows you do with such an issue and live in pain & discomfort on a daily basis but there is "life" after all this! It's not easy (they put me on ADs too to get me though the worst of it) but try to stay as strong & as positive as you can & focus your anger and energy into getting yourself well again. You probably don't need me to say that the stress of it all is so overwhelming, it's detrimental to your healing process, but do try to get lots of rest (difficult with a little one I know!) and do things that make you feel good & calm. I wish you all the very best in getting through it all...
