hydrocortizone after LIS

Postby sotiredofthis » 01 Jun 2014, 14:36

I had my post-op apt and my doctor suggested I use hydrocortizone cream for some irritation I was having. She said 1 to 3 times a day for about a week. I used it 4 times and my irritation seems to be worse. Especially on my fissure area which was feeling better. I've stopped using it but still have the irritation. I used a topical antibiotic after my surgery for 4 weeks. I'm wondering if maybe I have a fungal infection and not just inflammation and irritation. If you have a yeast infection and you use a steroid, it will make it worse.

Do you think I should try an anti-fungal cream instead? Anybody have this problem after LIS?

Thanks!
