Cushion needed for long trip...any recommended

Postby Alyssa » 08 Jul 2014, 22:51

I have been having difficulty sitting for long periods of time so since I am taking a road trip (8 hours) I decided that perhaps getting a butt cushion would help make it a nice, less pain trip. Does anyone have any recommendations? When I had a hemorroidectomy, I used the donut inflatable cushion but that was very uncomfortable to use...

I think the donuts are horrible the put pressure where you don't want it. I use a pillow, just something soft to put there. Road trips were impossible for me when I was in the midst of this disgusting illness. My wife would drive and I would lie down in the back. When I had to drive I used the pillow. Sometimes I was practically driving standing up. Best of luck. I hope you are going somewhere nice.

I know the post is old, but this is my favorite cushion (for car or chair):

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005KPN98U
8/09 - 12/10: fissure, cured by LIS/fissurectomy
1/17 - present: fissure/hemms, healed but pain remained, 3 CRSs (nifedipine, infrared coag) were no help, cold dilating >= 1" helped but still have pain when sitting
