Healed fissure but still have spasms

Postby Alyssa » 16 Jul 2014, 00:41

If a fissure is healed, but continue to have spasms, do people have LIS just for spasms and no fissure? Are there any other treatment options?

Have your spasm lessened in pain over this time? What type of spasm, burning during and after BM? pain for hours after that? It is a very slow process, as I have been told if you are having more better days then not you are on your way to recovery. I kept a dairy of what I ate when i pooped and pain level. I have since stopped because I'm doing really well. I would suggest that after keeping very close track of these things if you feel you are not making any progress and you can't stand the pain, maybe botox is an option to get you through the final stages. Remember any procedure has its side effects. Botox can aggravate the area affect or create hemmeroids, so there is a trade off. I would talk to a CRS you respect and trust. If you feel things are slowly going in the right direction I would not do anything at this point. Good luck, i really hope you get there.

Apes,

I was just wondering what options we have if we still have pain even though we were healed...this question was asked by another user several years ago so wanted to see if there are any new updates. I unfortunately suffer from chronic pain despite my fissure being healed; I have pain during BM and lingering burning pain afterwards.
