external sphincter fissures

Postby Fissurefrustration » 15 Jan 2015, 13:36

Hi all, so using my shower head to rinse off after a BM is causing such bad pain from every part of my sphincter (i can pinpoint where the areas are) so all my mini fissures are on my sphincter. is this normal? I was wondering if I had botox would that help?
i think every time I have my bowels open it's causing more mini fissures each time along side my chronic posterior fissure just inside.

thanks for any input.

Suffering since June 2013

Methods tried:
GTN cream - migraines!
Manuka Honey / Coconut oil / Aloe
tag excision X 2, botox x 3
Dilatiazem
dilatation 2 X daily + Retin-C Vitamin Scar Treatment Oil 2 X daily - best thing ever.
Now pain free 2/7/21

Do the external fissures bleed, Fissurefrustration?
I'm sorry, that sounds terrible.
Do you use soap? I wonder if your anal skin is drying out (like chapped lips). Do you still use the ointments and creams you list in your signature line?
I'm just thinking out loud here. I really don't know about botox. Wish I could help more.
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!

Yes I think if you are tight from a fissure then it causes lots of small fissures. I think Botox or surgery would help.
Developed fissure from constipation due to breastfeeding 7 weeks after delivery (Jan 2014)
Nifedepine
Colace
Magnesium
Miralax - godsend
Nitro - some improvement
LIS (May 2014) - cured for 3 months then setback
Diltiazem
Feeling better for now

It feels like dry lips, constantly tight and dry. I've stopped all my creams as I was getting such a horrible rash that made the pain 10X worse. I do bleed but not a lot, only spotting on my TP when I have to use it at work. I try to shower off at home but the jets hit the fissures and thats just agonising. my stools are quite soft, not too large I just don't get it, I managed to apply some vaseline last night for the first time in ages and I can feel another lump at 3 aclock so I'm wondering if another hemmi has popped up? I'm not straining and have a good intake of fibre/water. I'm seeing my GP tomorrow to get a CRS referral, I'm really at the end of my tether I'm 24 and I feel 90 with no hope of getting better. This has been 3 years now of constant pain :( I need a hug!
