Lis scheduled worried about developing skin tag/ sentinel pi

Postby Jteller86 » 02 Mar 2015, 04:17

After a year and a half of ongoing fissure pain I finally decided to have LIS performed. Scheduled 3/11 so about a week and a half away. Just wondering for any that has had it done how common is it to get skin tags/ sentinel pile after the surgery? I currently don't have any yet yet thankfully. Thanks :thankyou:

I am curious about this too. I had one tag before surgery and now have four. I forgot to ask the surgeon "why" when I went for my follow up appointment last week.

I hope that a lot of people chime in, so that we can determine how common new skin tags after surgery are.

I just hit the 6 week mark and am fully recovered. I had a bad first day, level 5 pain for about a week and then kept getting better gradually. Completely pain free by about week 4, and the only trouble remaining is a slight tenderness on one of the new skin tags, but that is only if I actually push on it manually, and the doctor said that that should continue to improve.

Good luck with your surgery and I hope that you'll keep posting and let us know how it goes.
