Not sure how well I am doing. Things seem to get better for a while but now little by little I seem to be getting back to the same old thing. We will see what the doctor says on my post op appt.

I am having surgery to repair a fistula tomorrow and the CSR also plans to do an "EUA." I do have to take 2 fleet enemas 1 hour before I arrive at the hospital. My doc actually said to empty the solution out of the bottles and replace it with warm (not hot) tap water.

Yes that would reduce the stinging from a more saline sution they come with. That is a good idea. Hope things go well for you.

Msimon - I was healing great then started to get a small amount of blood then a little more and then last night a full tear and back to square one. Same old story. I heal to a certain point and then it always tears. On the couch today with pain. And sadness.

OMG Wounded. I am so sorry. Many hugs your way. :smilyhug:

Do you have any idea why you tear? Is your BM supersoft or bulky? Hard start? Do the muscles feel tight while you go? When do you see your Doctor? I hope your pain eases real soon.

I, too feel like I am regressing again as the botox seems to have made things really urgent and wide right up to the sphincter (which tightens) and stretches this A LOT while forcing its way out. I sure hope this is just a rebalancing thing again. It can take me up to a month to figure out my 'new body' after botox. For example, this morning I learned that I cannot delay a BM AT ALL! Wow!

Thanks m. I still think it is due to scar tissue that prevents healing all the way. BMs are super soft. I couldn't stand the pain if they were not. Sorry the botox is causing trouble - hope things even out for you. Hugs.

Well CRS says things look a little better and come back in 6 weeks. I am still bleeding and have pain. He is not recommending any further surgery for me as it will only make things worse and cause more scarring. But the thing that concerns me the most is the amount of pity he had on me today. It somehow seemed to tell me he knows what the rest of my life holds in store for me.
