I've just joined this forum for support and help :) I am a young Australian female who has had Crohn's since I was about 16, diagnosed at 22 and had surgeries for fissures...
I had a fissure fixed surgically that got infected. I was in a lot of pain and went to my GP (before I was diagnosed with Crohn's and got a regular specialist). My GP told me the redness I was experiencing was due to my bum cheeks rubbing together haha and that any discharge was just from the fissure. Anyways, it got infected and subsequently I now have a fistula

I was wondering what to expect when I go in to have surgery to fix this fistula. The surgeon is thinking Seton is the way to go.
Will I be in much pain and how much time should I allow off work after I take it? What is healing time?... All that fun stuff
Any information and advise would be really great
Thank you!
