Im joe and have had fistulas for three years now. I have had the fistuotomy and heard all the crap from the doctors but the drainage continues from three separate deep insisions, my question is, where does all this infectcious goo come from? I could have filled a 55 gal drum by now. just aint natural I tell ya. I need to talk to someone in the same boat. HELP

It is actually the mucus used to create new tissue. Granulation Tissue secretes the mucus.
