Starting a new regimen

Postby Bellatrix21 » 23 May 2016, 15:19

I am typically taking 3 100 MG docusate sodium each day (1am and 2pm) but it isn't helping. Well I mean sometimes stools are soft sometimes they aren't even when my diet is the same!
I want to start a new regimen and from what I have been reading milk of magnesium or miralax. But which one? And how much do I take to start off? Any other suggestions. Please help!

I'd recommend miralax - try the normal dose...you may want to take half in the morning and evening. If it is too much cut back.

I am currently taking 3 tablets of docusate per day, would you recommend I continue that or reduce the amount or stop all together?

If the ducosate is not helping it would seem to me that you have no need to continue. The Miralax should take effect within the first 12-24 hours.
