Well they are both equally awful....just been again though I would say a Bristol 3 and that did hurt but only because of the trauma from last night. I'm still in spasm but a bit less pain is now around a 7 and I was working 7 while 12 today and trust me that was horrendous I just wanted to cry...I took 4 Valium.....don't panic the stupid doctor gave me the lowest dose 2mg when my old doc used to give me 10mg....I'm beginning to hate my GP. Even after the Valium pan was an 8 and I didn't even manage an hour of sleep.
I have truly had enough of this now.

Mypoorbutt, I've had a couple too large/hard stools - because like you I go too much and have had to take immodium to allow any healing.

It's not the prettiest thing, but last time, I just did a very small warm water enema mixed with a tad of mineral oil. I then got in the warm bath and waited a little bit, then tried again, and it wasn't too much trouble.

I'm in the same boat as you right now...constipated for the first time I can remember, can you believe it?

Do you have an enema kit if so where did you get it from....I would like one just in case....this has only happened to me before once in my teenage years. It's so hard to get a balance. The pain has gone down to a 6 now which is more bearable....thankfully.

Just at the drugstore, it's an enema bulb. A little tricky to use but works for me. I'm having trouble getting a good balance too, good for a couple days then bad again

What a pain! The chron's and ibs are enough to live with, let alone this. Anything you can change diet wise? Like maybe instead of dropping the loperamide when you're constipated, add some stool softening foods and drink lots? I know less about this than you - just shooting some ideas your way

It's a struggle GG because as soon as I add something that will soften my stool my IBS goes into overdrive and I get rid of the constipation but then end up going 4 or 5 times even if I only have a bit of what will work.
Had a good sleep last night to be honest and the pain is back to a very manageable 3 but not been for a BM today yet the wound from the op is now stinging a lot but I know I tore it the other night so that's not surprising really. Got some oregano oil mixed with coconut oil on it st the moment to try and stop any infection...so let's see what today brings lol
