I took Percocet for the first couple days but only when I needed to. I just kept the miralax and stool softeners up and had no constipation due to the pain meds. The morning after I woke up in a decent amount of pain, assuming because the numbing wore off overnight. so I took more Percocet. Works fast and works great for the pain. You are lucky there was no packing!

I have just managed to get some morphin from my doctor so hopefully the pain will calm down and I can actually sleep! Dreading my first bowel movement, did you put anything on the stitches when you went?

No, it just came out, then I washed it in the shower like I've been doing for a while now.

I really hope mine is straight forward like that! How long did it take for the pain to settle on the stitches?

Hi Becka, try not to worry too much about your first BM.

I was dreading mine too, but it was less painful than many of my BM's pre-op, with just a little stinging afterwards.

Just keep yourself well hydrated, eat plenty of fibre and maybe take a stool softener. If you can stay relaxed it'll help down there too!

Thanks Mr Fissure I think once I get that first one out the way I may able to relax a bit more, I'm just in panic mode I think as it's so painful and I haven't even been yet
