Food, BM, Pain and Softener Diary

Postby Bum_UK » 07 May 2017, 13:47

I've decided that I'll start a food, BM, pain and stool softener diary tomorrow as it's difficult to remember exact pain levels, what you ate etc a week or more ago.

I am a researcher by trade and figured using a more scientific approach to the fissure might be a good idea.

I keep an Excel spreadsheet with all my food and pain levels data. That way I can clearly tell if I'm getting better or worse, like you said. So far it's been a sine wave :-P
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy

I'm super frustrated again today as the hem prolapsed again. It didn't hurt too bad putting it back in as I bought some KY Jelly to make it slip back easier. I've got the dull aching sensation now and I honestly don't know if it's from the hem or the fissure. This is such a frustrating experience! I do hope the CRS will provide some insights tonight. He mainly works for the NHS and has a private clinic a week. I'm really not keen on having anything done to the hem until the fissure has healed as I hope the hem will resolve on its own then. Then again, having to pop the hem back in might aggravate the fissure...

Only a week to go until your Botox!

I also keep an excel spreadsheet, with all the details. It is very tough to remember what happened few days ago. I am tracking things like (What I ate, what medications, stools consistency, was there blood during BM, duration of the pain/spasms, When I am able to walk/move without pain, etc).
