Juney - my hole is so tiny - it is about 1 mm if not smaller and it was closed for 3 months - I mean , whole area was sealed and healed and now it teared on the base of a skin tag - I think that since my poop was lately more hard due me taking Prilosec it pushed on tag too much and in return tag pulled that part of anus too much and got partially detached. My skin tag does not look like "skin" at all. It is bulbous and thick and hard when you touch it - it is some kind of weird scar tissue , to be more exact. I can absolutely see how it happened when it is on the way of a poop that is trying to go out .It gave me problems from the beginning even when all was healed - it got irritated all the time, so I am now telling myself that it is maybe better that this happened so I have valid reason to take it off and I don't have to work on convincing CRSs to do that and also it will make my decision easier too.
Patty and Tobby - thanks for well wishing XOXO - I hope all will be well with you too very soon !!! Patty - I am so sorry that you have to wait till 24th : ( - it must be emotionally draining - one night of wait made me nervous wreck ...
John - I hope you are doing well :D , don't say if you do so you will not "jinx" it LOL - it is how is with me every single time ; ) !
This morning there was no bleeding but my poop was very soft since I used MOM and mineral oil last night - so I do not count it as a success , but I will stay on poop softeners for couple of days.

fiss - i was reading some old posts about skin tags, and came across a link you posted regarding removing them. 1 person had great success with removing and cauterizing the skin tag. maybe you could ask your dr about that, instead of stitching it or leaving the wound open as that seems to cause more problems. my skin tag, before i had it removed, look exactly as you describe yours. bulbous and thick, like a strange protruberance of scar tissue. i'm stuck b/w wishing my dr hadn't removed it and being glad he did...as i'm now sure this was the cause of all my further problems. it seems like skin tags are all-around a huge source of pain and frustration.
but you should go back and read the link you posted on an old skin tag post. there are lots of good ideas and suggestions about successfully removing skin tags!

I was looking at a chart about skin tags at the CRHcenter and it shows them cutting the tag off - then suturing it up. I don't know if this is common practice...just thought I would let you know about it.

Actually, I think that laser removal would be the best since it will seal the wound at the same time and "resurface" whatever is open , but who is going to do that ??? I found guy who even reconstruct female parts COMPLETELY with laser - so if he can do that with those sensitive areas, I wonder why nobody is doing that with our butts ???!!! That surgeon is in LA, I think. I wouldn't mind traveling but am concerned that he only does female "privates" and maybe has no experience with butt physiology and anatomy :roll: .
My CRS in SF does most of the surgeries with cauter - even the LIS , but I forgot to ask how would it be done since I was eager to leave premisses LOL ! I am always dazed after exam, no matter how nice CRS is - that feeling will never become one that will not freak me out ! Just couple of days ago I said that "nobody is going to push anything in my but any time soon " LOL, and than I had to have scope - oh well - never say "never" I guess :roll: !
