Postby Sarah8818 » 16 Apr 2018, 18:18

Hi
I’m new here and pleading for help.
I’ve a chronic anal fissure which I had Botox for last Wednesday and the sentinel pile removed. The pain seemed ok after and spasms went. Today which is 5 days after op spasms are back worse than ever?? Is this normal?

Hi, it was with me! It's about 12 weeks now since I had a fissurectomy, botox & sentinel piles removed. The first few days were ok (I think a lot of that was relief as I was terrified of having the procedure) but on about day 5-8 it was bad .... not long after that by about 2 weeks no pain at all! I would imagine that my botox has worn off now and I'm still ok .....fingers crossed

Sarah8818 are you taking any medication? I found that I was best just taking paracetamol & a sachet of movicol after my evening meal helped.

So you had no pain and then it’s got worse before it got better? I’m just so fed up x I don’t take pain killers as they don’t work but take laxative sachets a couple of times a day
