Botox x 3....

Postby Guest » 12 May 2008, 16:42

Hello,
Well I went for my Botox shot today. It went very well and I only feel a little tired. My CRS said that it is healing from within and there is some new skin forming over it. He is optmistic that this will do the trick, but stressed to stay on my routine. Boy I am going to be strict this time. We will see. I also asked him about LIS, he said it is an option for me if this shot does not work, but he said that LIS has not always been successful for all his patients. That's why he offers the shots first. My fissure is chronic and is small but very deep that is why it is taking longer for mine to heal. So we will see I wanted to share this with you, I hope everyone is doing well today.

That's wonderful news that he could see new skin developing and that he believes this will do the trick. I think this is really going to get you there. You've done so well with this regimen before so all signs are positive for you to continue on your healing path!!!!

You mean the LIS has been less successful for him than Botox, Patty?

Lecia,
Thanks I am going to stay pretty positive, I have to I have 2 weddings coming up lol. My CRS is great!. He has the best bed side manners and he is so calm and cool about things. It only took him 20 minutes today to get my shot done. He told my sister it looked very good. I know you are right this time will be the ticket!

Kim,
No he just means that Botox works better for some people and LIS works better for others. They are not both 100% and I guess it depends on the person. My opinion their succes rate to me are almost equal.

Patty,
Did the Botox shot hurt? My Mayo CRS doc indicated that they sedate people there for the shots.
Thanks and good wishes,
Cheryl
