This is what I ate everyday post op, I am 30 year old male with a faster metabolism and weigh 150 lbs.

Breakfast: 3 egg omelet with veggies, 2 servings of oatmeal with raisins, brown sugar.
Snack: small piece of bread
Lunch: 4 oz ground turkey with 1 cup cooked white rice and veggies
Snack; Half clif bar
Dinner: 4 oz Cod, yellow potatoes and veggies.
Snack: apple without the skin, fig newtons
Before bed: prune juice.

I took 2x daily 100mg colace and 500 mgs vitamin C (for collagen growth and immune help). I took the vitamin c for a few weeks before surgery. I had one BM a day that was large (long) and soft. Currently you are eating like 300 calories a day which is not enough for any human, and very little protein.

Naina, do you keep taking softeners? It's very important during this healing phase.

Today is 1 week after having fissurectomy. Currently have ice pack between my butt cheeks. I'm taking 3 or more sitz baths , using a heating pad, taking tylenol 3 and ibuprofen. When its really bad I take hydrocodone. Stool softeners and eating light. BM stings but not too bad. Also using lidocaine and desitin. When will this let up? Any other tips anyone can offer? Is pain this long normal?
