Botox Again

Postby missy moo » 24 May 2019, 15:45

Hi everyone to those who don't know my story I've had my fissure for nearly 6 years I had Botox a year ago it helped but didn't completely heal my fissure as it still hurts and bleeds during bms sometimes. I don't have pain during the day which is great but I want to completely heal so I'm going back for more botox.

I think the botox will definitely be helpful if it helped the first time. I hope you will be pain free long term after this round of Botox. Try and schedule some child care if possible so that you have time to rest after the procedure.

Have you considered medication to help with anxiety? I recently began taking Lexapro and even at a very low dose it's been really helpful at reducing the constant health worries. It is low risk for constipation unlike other ssri pills like Prozac. Never thought I would go this route but I did.

Wow really do you have anxiety as well? I feel like if you didn't have anxiety to start with a chronic anal fissure will give anyone anxiety my anxiety is very much related to health worries.

Hi missy, something which helps me with hard tips is inserting a glycerine laxative suppository in Vaseline when I know I’ve got to go.

This softens the hard tip and makes it easier to pass.

Good luck with your second round of Botox. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

I'll look into that medication what are the side effects? What have you noticed? The diazapam I sometimes take makes me have crazy dreams and gives me a head ache

I have pretty bad health related anxiety. All these years I was able to manage it but it got worse with fissure and skin problems. Initial side effects were fatigue, insomnia and upset stomach but those seem to be settling. A good unexpected benefit has been a lot of reduction in bladder pain too.

P&h that's great that you've found some extra benefits to the medication and has it helped with the anxiety? Also do you still have your fissure?

According to the CRS I don't have a fissure anymore, and my pain is due to tight pelvic floor muscles. I think I have some scar tissue that is easily irritated though.

The medicine seems to be slowly helping anxiety. It's a very low dose though, and I'm supposed to increase it once I feel like the stomach issues have settled down.
