The anxiety side of this issue is really a bitch. I believe that I have to actively work on my mental health just as much as working on physically trying to heal. Ever since I started working on the mental side more, my fissure has improved significantly. It is all connected and you will improve! Once your anxiety starts improving, so will the fissure and it'll catch momentum from there. Apart from maybe taking something for the anxiety, do you currently have any methods you use to manage it?
- February 2019 : Fissure
- Tried all of the creams, perfecting the diet, self dilation
- Reduced symptoms significantly but still not healed
- July 2019 : LIS with tag removal

I agree. I think the fear of it all restarting/getting worse/never getting better for me is a real issue and I think probably means I am making it slower to recover as I have lost a bit of faith in my body's ability to heal itself.
I am making progress but the progress is slow with setbacks often.
