I felt the fissure sting during bm. Ugh. Feeling like I’m back to square one!
It’s crazy... I was so nearly there!! Gutted.

omb - Do you know if your fissure is closer to the anal opening or deeper inside (into the anal canal)? Sorry I don't know the proper technical terms. Lol. Sending good, healing thoughts to you.

Omb, how do you feel? Why do you say back to square one, are you in pain during and after BMs? What happens?

Apple, my fissure is inside. I can’t see it at the moment... but it feels like hell!

Abu,
Ye, I’m in a whole lot of pain again, during a bm and all day/ night after. It’s not easing up any... actually feeling worse.... over the last couple of weeks.

No idea what to do about it. Really scared to see my crs about it as last time he really hurt me. I guess I’ll just have to ride it out and hope I can get back to where I was going a couple of weeks ago.

What a rollercoaster ride this is becoming!

Omb, do not despair. You've made it in the past you can make it again. Just do whatever you know works best, keep them stools soft and talk to your body, throw away the anxiety.

omb - my current fissure is inside too. when having a BM, i now use one of my hand to support/press on one side of my bum so that the inside has less of a "splitting" sensation. if i don't do that, my BM would have been a lot more painful.

we can beat this! trust in our bodies.

I’m updating, but not much to say. Things are still generally the same. I have not made the progress I was making before the set back. Im really not sure what to do now... it’s 5 months in. I really don’t want any surgery.. so I’ll keep on going for now.

Apple... yes, I support myself during a bm too.

Nothing new to update really. I’m still stuck in the cycle of pain.
I have a good couple of days then bad...... it’s just an ongoing cycle.
I’m still being careful, taking movicol etc.... it’s just time and patience I guess.

I’m 9 months along from tearing again, and I see that I’ve still got a long way to go until the nerves stop firing off at the slightest touch. At the moment I’m hesitant about seeing a crs again.... I think I’m put off by the last rough appointment which set me back big time.

I wish my news were different..... it’s always uplifting for sufferers to read something positive.... but unfortunately this time I still have some ways to go!
