Day 2 10:30pm

Uneventful day. Watched some movies, took some baths. No tramadol. Hurts a bit when I cough or laugh, but it isn't bad at all. Took a short walk with the dog.

Took miralax tonight, and ate normal high fiber meals during day. Passing gas still feels super different.

Hoping to get AM bm, and fingers crossed it will go easily...

But then during the day it's not to bad at all but it's taken it's toll on me mentally over the last 6 years an still does I have two small boys to look after aged 5 and 2 I can't keep juggling them and my painful BMS an cleaning up every morning followed by the school run. I just think my kids need me I'm so preoccupied mentally by this.

@missymoo , I also have two boys 3 years apart, just a bit older. I understand the mental toll this can exact on a person, and adding in trying to do stuff around your kids schedule... its tough.

I'm no doc, but 6 years seems long enough. If your CRS thinks it will help, I think i would seriously consider... if this ends up healing quickly, I'll be kicking myself for not having it done sooner.

Day 3, 7:30 am.

Poop 1 out of the way. Pain during poop was about a 1.... post pain, 2 or 3 stinging sensation. Think it might be some from my active fissure plus a little bit of soreness from incision site.

There was blood. But not a lot. Still actively bleeding and capturing it in the gauze.

Most difficult part was actually getting things going. I had a small bm first thing (3 small pieces). Then about 40 minutes later after drinking a ton of water I got something more like a real poop. Nice and soft still from miralax, but think I would be benefit from the benefiber for a bit more bulk

Things felt nice and loose, so it's working. Jumped right back in the tub afterwards.

Gonna relax for the next hour and then try to get up and make some breakfast. Hope that is it for pooping for the day.

Day 3: 8:15 PM

Today was a good day. Very little pain besides the pain from the morning BM. 2 soaks, keeping up on Advil/Tylenol. Blood discharge has been less.

I ended up walking (very slowly) for about 45 minutes today. And also took a trip to the store, and got my boys some DQ ice cream (I did not partake) I seem to be much better right now than prior to the surgery, dealing with surgery pain is a lot easier than the fissure pain so far.

Ate pretty normal today. Calories have been lower, but generally eating what I would eat before the fissure minus the bad stuff like candy, cookies and other baked goods, ice cream, pizza, cheese, etc. At the moment I'm avoiding seeds and nuts too, but hope to add that back in, in the near future.

Tonight I'm going to do my Miralax with some Benefiber for my nightly cocktail. Trying to keep up with the morning BM routine. I'm a so tied to that, but hope I am not forcing it too much. A little bit of stress around this. I had one sensation of feeling like I had to go earlier today, sat on the toilet for about 30 seconds and gave up quickly, as the earlier movements were super easy.

Day 4 morning:

Bm number 2 came right after I woke up. Back on schedule every am. It went through easy, no sharp glass pain, but the stinging afterwards was a 4 or 5. Pain kind if similar to pre op, so I think its my fissure letting me know he is still there. Not a ton of blood in stool. I can definitely tell its working as things feel looser.

Hard to get clean, as I'm not real keen on using the bidet at the moment, too much going on down there and it's pretty tender. So I jump in shower, dab with some tp. It takes a bit longer.

Hoping this burning goes away after this bath, its sticking around at the moment.

Jis76 have you tried using unscented baby wipes that's what I use and it works great. Also some Zink cream after bms and even before bms could really help you Zink cream is both protecting and soothing.
