davimos - yes i am feeling better! I decided to totally destress on holiday let others make the decisions etc plus my husband and I made some good decisions about a for future plans in our life eg about money, his job etc and I think some of that had been weighing on me and now I'm feeling clearer about the future I think my body has responded by healing some more. I'm almost pain free at the moment but this has happened before. I'm also on 1/2 sachet of movicol per day to keep things smooth and I think I'll carry on with this for a while.
How are you, how is the diet faring??

Wonderful news, so far all is well here too and my new diet seems to be working, and it's a glorious day celebrating my son's wedding so hoping for the best for all of us! Stress never helps this condition that's for sure!

Thanks, wedding was great! All's been well, but a little step back today. Go figure, very mushy stool but a little difficult exiting, which amazed me given how soft it was, and a little twinge of pain and small amount of blood on tissue. We'll see how next few days go. No lingering pain so far. I had stopped the nidephine after three and a half weeks, but guess I should start applying again. These setbacks make me wonder if I'll need the surgery, but will see how the weeks ahead progress. Sometimes surgery can make things more complicated. Hope you are doing well SueMac as well as others in this thread. I'm beginning to wonder if this will ever go away. Sigh....

Glad wedding went well!
Setbacks so annoying. I can’t comment on surgery but worth asking others of their experience.

Have you gone back to the cream ? It may be worth doing that,

Yes, the the nidephine is helping. Trying to keep stools loose and infrequent is an issue. Just when it seems all's well they get dry and go too often. Such a challenge.
