However I am planning to speak to admin about raising the profile of this forum so it is more easily found in a google search so those in need can see it pop up in their searches online. This is how I found the forum originally. It’s a valuable place to go when you need reassurance and help and I’d like to see it more readily found in an online search.

SueMac, the forum has had a long and successful existence, and it's well known on other self-help forums and networks like HealthUnlocked and so on. The fact that it has been quiet for a few months does not necessarily mean that it's in danger. As you point out, it is a valuable resource, with thousands of detailed posts relating to AF and pelvic disorders - an enormous archive/database that's unique in its field. While it may be possible to improve the forum's search ranking on Google, I think we should just be glad and grateful that it's here at all.

Totally agree dmcff. You know it’s history better than me. The people in here seem more genuine and kind than any other forum I have been part of.
Using as a”directory” is invaluable as you rightly say- it might be my searching technique but it would be great to see it come up in searches as easily as other (less helpful I think) web addresses. No criticism to the site or those than administer it meant at all.

I understand the frustration and anger that can result from a chronic condition. I have three of my own. But we are here to help, and the best way to get help is to be kind to others.
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy

It’s true and knowing others suffer in a similar way makes that healing more accessible somehow especially when we hear success stories and better ways of managing and ultimately overcoming these very personal issues we have.

This forum should be the 1st to pop up when searching for anal fissure support or forum on google. I used this forum way back in 2012 and when I needed it again, I couldnt find it.
I had to go through my email to look for old post notifications. Everyone here is such a good support in this difficult time.

I'm okay, though suffering from a sore behind, as usual. Lockdown doesn't bother me much, as I'm used to being here, and my cats haven't noticed much difference either. :) Doing some gardening, planted a young olive tree and a raspberry cane, and am enjoying the sunshine. Hope you're okay, too, SueMac.
