Hi dmcff I’m sorry you still suffer. I am up and down with mine. I recently bought a book by Jonathan Kuttner called life after pain. It really explains how our brains misinterpret pain signals when there is no injury any longer. Trouble is following his method to stop those messages - not easy!!
The weather has been amazing g here in the south east hasn’t it. It lifts the spirits at least. I hope your olive and raspberries flourish.
I am a cat person too! All the best

Yes, Jonathan Kuttner's book is a great resource - I read it several years ago, but although I found much of the advice useful and helpful, I never managed to shake off the physical pain. Perhaps I should read it again - you never know, it might work this time!

Maybe cats have the best attitude, which is something like 'sit it out, stare at it, and make it go away'.

The sunshine is certainly welcome after the long grey winter, and it's good to get out in it, I find.

I got the book second hand from amazon so it wasn't very much money, if needed to buy it again. I have yet to finish it. He certainly makes for logical reading but as you say to translate that into real results is not so easy.

Dunno if this help. I'm suffering from depression to the point it's destroying my physical health and life. You see visiting this forum means I'm back to zero. It's an immense toll on my already devastated mind. Maybe that's why others are absent. Please think about that @hurtinend.
Thanks to the people that keep running this. I can't talk to anyone about this, am totally alone. Being here helps.

I'm sorry to hear this. Without suggesting that you necessarily do likewise, because everyone is different, I can say that I've found that visiting a psychotherapist regularly once a week has helped me a lot with AF (anal fissure). If you could find the right therapist it might help you with the depression. Hope you feel better soon.

Hurt - In the UK we are so fortunate with our NHS it is a fantastic system. When I was struggling I did online counselling a while back (this was free on NHS ) BUT is there any online counselling in Canada which is affordable instead of $150 per hour (which is ridiculous you don't pay that privately in the UK)? What about charities - can any of those help you? Please look into it...

My private psychotherapist in UK charges £35 per hour - not a huge amount, really. I think also in other countries it's possible to find affordable counselling if you look around.
