Im not sure if its available in canada. And i was told to continue the tablet for 6 weeks after surgery. By then the fissure and LIS wound should heal completely. Im recovering definitely but i can still feel some discomfort during my bm's. Its Day 24 post surgery. Im already feeling much better mentally than where i was last month around this time. This fissure is such a painful horrible disease. My prayers to everyone in this forum to heal completely and lead a happy healthy life.

Thanks I’ll look into that. It is one of the worst things that’s for sure.

Hi there I’ve been doing good thanks. Still taking the laxative and been using my cream. I’ve had no pain for a month now. No issues with incontinence or urgency at all which was so nice. My biggest fear! How have you guys been doing?

Are we all mums? I'm 33 and i have 3 kids my fissure started during the birth or right after the birth of my first child 8 years ago and ever since my fissure has healed an come bavk every few weeks I've had botox for it twice but I'm still here. I have an appointment with a crs on the 4th of April for a second opinion an to discuss lis. I've seen crs an they seem reluctant to do lis on my because I'm a woman. Tell me your story. Lets support each other

Hi, I think we might all be moms here. I am 37 with 3 kids as well. I got my tear after my first daughter who I had naturally. She had a big head and that might have been what caused me to tear. It was either from that or the pain killers they gave me after that caused a hard bowel movement. I’m really not sure. I do remember that it was my first bowel movement after having her where I had felt pain. I had c sections after that for my other children thankfully. I really hope this new CRS will be comfortable doing surgery for you if that’s what you are thinking of doing. Do you find Botox at all effective? For me I think it helped with spasms but

Suffering2long Australia looks beautiful! I’m in Canada. Yes I am doing better now but had pain a month ago so I guess time will tell if the LIS actually worked. Shoot I don’t know why they still prescribe those constipating painkillers. I was on them after getting my wisdom teeth out before kids and they were the worst! After my c section I specifically asked them for a pain killer that wasn’t constipating and I was fine thankfully. Are you considering surgery?

Yes Australia is beautiful! Canada looks gorgeous too from what I’ve seen.
I know, haven’t taken painkillers that strong in years (besides when I had the flap done)..
I am considering surgery but hopefully I can hold off for a bit longer due to work commitments
