4 months post op - still having problems

Postby FissureFreakout » 31 Aug 2024, 11:41

I still have tiny tiny tiiinyyy amounts of discharge (like, if you dipped the tip of a needle in a bottle of discharge and put it on toilet paper, that’s what it looks like, its barely visible). I bleed once every few weeks. I have discomfort every day. Some days its just soreness, other says it feels like a slicing feeling. The pain isn’t bad, just irritating. I have a mirror and there seems to be a small slice on my butt. My CRS said its like a papercut and to do conservative measures and it will heal…it hasn’t healed in 4 months, why would it heal now? I’m pretty sure it’s the LIS incision. Just ranting. It’s so exhausting.

Hey Freakout, how is it going now? I know it took me a really long time to fully recover from my LIS and fistulotomy. It was maybe 6 months between the initial operation and the complete end of symptoms, blood, and discharge.

Hi booty call! I’m doing so much better thankfully. My discharge and bleeding are gone. My pain is extremely minimal, I chalk it up to nerve and scar pain and assume that over the course of the next year it will get better. My surgeon said I am now healed. I wish I had known how long it would take. Thanks for sharing your story :)
