Lecia,
I am glad you are going to see some new doctors to get some answers. You don't deserve this and the whole board looks like they have your back with all the prayers.
You will have to let us know how you like the "natural way". One of us should have invented that first and got rich! :)

Hi Everyone,
Well, I met with the vascular doctor yesterday and he seems concerned and committed to trying to help me figure this all out. We started out by ordering 7 tubes of bloodwork to look for clotting factors, ANA, Lupus panel, CBC and I don't remember what else. I should get the results in a week. I am ordering my disk done last year of the CT scan so he can review it and see if there is any compression anywhere that we need to investigate further. So, as of now, we are trying to rule out clotting disorders and soft tissue disorders (since I had a abdominal defect repaired last year and have had positive ANAs since I was 10 with some mild symptoms here and there).

He did seem to understand the fear that I go through of either having an acute episode or that one is right around the corner. It made me cry because that is how I feel and he seemed to get that. Of course, his advice is to stay positive which I am trying to do.

Just thought I would update you and thank you for your support.
Love,
L.

Getting a good doc is a large part of the prob solved. If you have confidence in one, I am sure he can get you through anything that might exist. Image

I'm so glad you've found a doctor who knows what you are going through and genuinely wants to help.
I hope he can find exactly what the problem is and solve it quickly for you.

Thanks you guys. The pain is quite horrific today. I had to take some demerol. I just hope there is something that can be done so I can at least start having some good days again. But it will probably be some time before we know what if anything there is to do.

How do I get through this pain again?

I can imagine a little bit how you feel because I cant sit down and I'm hobbling around like I'm 90 years old. It makes it so much more difficult when there's been an improvement because we're not used to it being so bad again. But we healed before so we'll heal again.
I suppose it means more painkillers and more hot baths! And more hoping and praying that things get better quickly. Hang in there my dear, its got to get better soon!
My thoughts are with you

Yeah, it does make it tough when you have had better days but I guess it gives me something to shoot for in the future. I always deal with a certain level of pain but today it is turned up a few notches even with demerol.

I hope you wake up tomorrow feeling much better. Image
