Lecia!!!
I haven't been here in so long and just came back to see how you all were doing... Was so surprised to see this thread and couldn't help but read every page and almost every message written here.. I just want to send my love and I really wish I could say or do something to make you feel better, I'm just at a loss for words! You're the expert here so you know this game 10 times better than I do, which is why you're my role model...
All I really can say is that there's always hope for healing, even when things seem impossible. I'm thankful that my fissure has been healing beautifully, and all I've been using for the past 2 or 3 months is aloe vera gel. It's been helping the skin tags shrink so much and has been helping both fissures, I don't have pain on many days anymore... I never believed it would be possible to be pain-free because my fissure(s) were soo chronic and so painful. There's always a risk for re-injury and it's so likely, so possible, but there's also always the hope of just living normally, or semi normally, and being able to enjoy life Image
I can't imagine how frustrating it must feel to go through this... My grandmother has been having horrible @rse problems too, just with feeling pressure down there immediately after she eats (every single meal), but not being able to push anything out. There's so much discomfort everyone on this board goes through, & it's so weird how the rest of the world takes healthy pooing for granted.. At least we get to enjoy life's small pleasures and realize how lucky we are to at least see/hear/touch them.. I guess we still have a bed.. a cozy bed.. a cozy family.. loving boardies.. People who really do care, and really do understand..
Sorry for writing such a long essay:p but I just wanted to say that much of my healing is due to your advice.. Don't lose hope, you're our hope Image as corny as it sounds !! Love you Lecia! Please get well soon...

Thank you Sunshine! I have missed you here and have been hoping that that means you were doing so much better and I am delighted that you have had so many pain free days. It really gives me hope.

It was so good to hear from you. I am plugging along-never knowing from one day to the next what will happen pain wise and trying to deal with the fear and uncertainty of it all. I hope that you continue to have wonderful days ahead, Sunshine! Love you too!

Lecia,
How are you today? I hope you are feeling well. I was thinking of you before I leave for work. I had a little pain with my BM yesterday. of course it is period time so I took an extra colace last night and it is fine this morning. I know you love fruit. I found at our grocery store Wegmans this fruit called Plumcots. They are so good and juicy. I have been eating lots of fruit everyday and it has made world of difference. If you see these try them they are yummy. I hope you don't have any pain today. I am glad Sunshinehope is doing well to Image
Everyone here has suffered so much. Well I am off to work. Have a great day to you and everyone here.

Thanks guys! You two are so sweet! I have tried eating a prune but that makes things run through but maybe a plumcot would be milder. Is that like a plum and an apricot? Is it a dried fruit?
You are very kind to check in on us Patty and I am so glad that you recovered quickly from yesterday's bump.

Thank you for the hug, Tabster. That little duck is so cute. I take the primrose every day. Thanks so much for your friendship and support.

Lecia,
A plumcot is a regular fruit not dried,a plum and apricot combined. I buy a lot of fruit and keep it cold. It has helped me alot. Now my night time snacks are fruit with fiber cereal. Are you feeling okay today? I read thru the forum everday I want to be able to help if I can. I hope everyone is having a good day today.
Tabby, I have not tried Primrose yet, but that is my next purchase from the health food store. Thanks!

Hi Patty,
The pain has improved some-please pray for me that I don't wreck my bottom flying out to Colorado tomorrow. ( I have 2 layovers so it will be a a long day.)
I'll look into the fruit when I get there. That does sound refreshing!
