Hi all
cherylk
: Yes it is painful/uncomfortable to sit. Seem to make things worse... Do you feel the cream helps?
I hope I can toot with ease soon :)

Lars,
Yes, I think my ointment has really helped me. Hoping to get a refill soon. Have you tried taking Metamucil? Image

No I haven`t tried Metamucil. Will it make my bowels softer? Got mail from the other hospital today. I am going to get an appointment for an exam in 2 months. Don`t know the exact date yet, but it is alway nice to get a second opinion :)

It shouldn't make your bowels (or your stools) any softer, not much, but keeps things moving...and that should keep your stools wetter...

Kim,
Do you take Metamucil or have you ever tried it?

Good luck with the second opinion. I know you have suffered a long time.

Cheryl, I did take metamucil but I liked citracel better (orange) but I only took while I had my fissure, quite religiously.

Did you think it helped when you were taking it? I guess so, or I am assuming you would not have continued taking it. Is Citrucel psyllium also?
