Jen - sweetness - thanks for the info Image . I have only 7 pills of Valium left so I "ration" them Image - I take only half of one when I think my bum will explode :( .
Do you think I should call my CRS OR my PC for some? Who would show more mercy and not judge me as a "junky" Image Image
PS: And yes , my CRS told me I would be up and about in 2 days Image

What they told you 2 days as well??? What a freaking joke. I though my CRS was the only one who actually thought that!
Its your judgement on who to call for more pills, but I would say call the CRS. He just saw you this week and has to know how bad your pain is.
I also ration out my darvocet. I only have 7 pills left as well! :)
I just had 2 BM's about 10 minutes apart - I think I need to cut back my MOM dosage. What are you taking for supplements post surgery?

Fissy
:thinkofyou:
Sooooooooo soooooooorrrrrrrry Image Image Image Image Image Image Image to hear of your pain.
It is just so hard to have this sort of pain, I don't think your CRS should object to you getting valium. Darvocet is a weaker pain pill and you should able to relax your butt so you do not have spasms. I totally feel for you because when I had my hemmie surgery I had so much pain and spasms. I couldn't take anything stronger than darvocet because everything else made me so sick.
Those Dr's just don't tell the truth on how long healing takes, I guess they don't want to scare Image their patients.

You are in my thoughts and prayers!!

Take care sweetie!!

I honestly don't think CRS' really know what the recovery time is, or assume that all patients recover the same. My CRS told me it would take 2-3 weeks!! He was about right.

Image Jen,
I hope you are feeling somewhat better. I know I used to ration out my darvocet! I hated asking for more because my dr acted like, what! you still need those? My husband was angry that I still had pain and said you better give her something!!

You are in my thoughts and prayers too!

Kim,
I guess it is probably an average.
I don't think my dr's office was truthful though. I had my hemmie surgery on Friday and the nurse said, oh, you'll be able to go to work on Monday. Yeah, right, I still felt like I had so much pain I needed to be in the hospital. The Dr. on call, did say that it was a VERY painful area and I should probably go back to hospital on Saturday and be admitted since they cannot give much strong pain relievers except through the hospital. I said I'm not going back but I guess I probably should have.
They really should warn you that it may take longer or some are slow healers!

Jo, I think with any surgery, one should give oneself more time than the surgeon states for recovery. Given what I went though, two days is ridiculous for LIS, though I have seen one or two people on this board that seemed to only need a couple days. They were very young!
With hemorrhoid surgery, I have seen with Lecia, and some others, that it takes even longer than LIS!!!

Jen - yeah - isn't it irony !!! I said 2 weeks and he said "oh no, it would be more like 2 days, he he he" - and I said - "oh well, it would be just wonderful , but lets see...". I definitely did not expect 2 days LOL - but I did not expect
THIS situation either Image Image Image Image - my first LIS was such a breeze ...such a brezze Instant relief and minor discomfort outside - can not even be compared . I mean, I know - I have so many things done - but the thing that upsets me the most is spasms - they are culprit for non healing fissures - how on earth will I heal now ?????? Image Image Image Image Image Image Image
I will ask about the Botox Monday !!!!!!! This is just crazy !!!!!
Thanks buddy for sharing and being here - you see - you are not "negative force" here - you help me Image
