Oh, Val! That sounds horrible. I always have a vasovagic response when they can't get my blood on the first attempt. I feel faint and nauseous and start sweating. I am so sorry you had to go through that. Too bad Pinky's hubbie can't go and do it for you. Is he studying to be a doctor?
I thouht about you on Friday all day. Is there anotehr thread I missed???
Pinkster-I know how you feel, dear sister. I think sometimes I have post-traumatic stress disorder. That this has taken such a toll mentally that I am always on high alert. It is very damaging physically and emotionally. Image I used to be so scared to be myself. As soon as I heard the garage door open and close and I was there left in pain with my baby alone it felt like the world would collapse in on me. I am glad you sister can come. Will you feel more comfortable with her than with your MIL?
Take care-you are going to be alright and pull through this.
And Val, I need to come be your bodyguard. I am so sick of you not getting treated the way you should. Image

val wrote: I think they were entirely at fault yesterday because I warned her over and over that i would be a very bad patient and i was extremely blood-phobic, yet she still kept on trying. And she held up the little bottle of blood to show how much she was able to take. My husband was saying, no, hide it, hide it! And all the time she was tapping my arm and talking about veins - it makes me queasy even thinking about it!
I had a really stroppy horrible nurse who seemed to hate me and said a straight NO about going in early on the day, but i asked the doctor and he said it was ok by him as long as the nurses agreed, so me and hubby went up to the actual ward and asked them. She said to ring at the beginning of the week of the surgery and ask but it shoudnt be a problem.

Some people are just evil! Like she wanted to torment you...
Some nurses likes to be in charge and they abuse the power they have... Hope you meet nice nurses when you are going in for surgery Val!!!
Take care Image

Jen - my fissure is ok most of the time, but I still do have bad times - like yesterday I felt it rip again. I just use the nitro more often, drink more - and keep my fingers crossed that it doesnt last long! :D My last fissure "attack" lasted about 3 weeks, and i admit i was getting to the desperate stage of thinking it was never going to end again, but it does eventually!
Lecia - Image I dont think it was on another thread, but I never remember where I've posted anything anyway Image Yeah, thats a great idea to come over and be my bodyguard, those stroppy nurses wouldnt stand a chance against both of us! :D
Corsi - the nurse who held up the bottle of blood was actually the NICE nurse Image !! The other one was just pure evil, and like you say, wanted to show she was boss. Yeah, I hope i dont get any like her when i go in for surgery! Image Image

good luck with your blood tests Tabby - I hope you get the nice nurse and not the old dragon! :D I'm glad you're feeling better %$^*^^$Ј!!
My grandaughter will be 4!
I dont think I would need another LIS although I would have it if it would definately cure everything. I dunno why it keeps coming back Image . could be stress related!
