Healing from surgery especially analrectal surgery is not linear. You will have lots of ups and downs. Just remind yourself when you are having a bad day that another good day is not too far away. You've had them before you will have them again.

:( sorry you're still sore and sad Pinky Lecia gave me hope when she said that "tomorrow could be the day I heal up". I was in a dark place , when my fissure and spasms were at their worst when she said that and it really helped. Your "tomorrow" WILL happen, it will get better, its just so depressing when it is painful, and difficult to be optimistic, but this pain isn't forever.
Thanks for asking - no, I'm not in a good place mentally right now! My bum is bleeding and painful and I'm really frightened about the surgery! And scared of what the pain meds are gonna do to my butt!

Pinky - I am so sorry to hear that your pain is worse now . I have to agree with Lecia and Val - it is just so hard for that place to heal and it is never only upward line. Pain does fluctuate from day to day and small steps back always happen until it is healed
completely.
Try to relax and take baths and don't carry the baby too much ! Are you maybe near your period ? I know it is always worse during that part of the month for many girls here .
I hope that pain will be much better very soon !!!
VAL - I can only imagine what you are feeling buddy - it is really just too much to handle all at once :( :( !!! We all will be praying for you, there is no doubt about that . Ask them for Dervocet - it did not constipate me at all !!!! I wish I knew about it a year ago ! It is combo of Dervocet and Paracetamole (Tylenol) so it won't upset your tummy either ! I JUST HATE that your butt hurts now of all things - oh boy - you are rally a hero Val !!!! And you will conquer it all - you will see !!!! You always did, buddy :sprinkleheart: !!!!

How long a hospital stay does the surgery entail? This board just won;t be the same without you. I think we'll change something in your honor and not change it back until you are back with us? Any suggestions anyone?

Since I am "computer challenged " person , I do not have any smart idea of how or what can be done to modify our board - but I am sure you can think of something - that would be just fantastic !!!! I absolutely agree - this place will not be same without our Val and I hope that she will not need more than a week or two before she "jumps in" here again !!!
She healed so many times before from so many things - I have NO doubt she will be back here before we know it !!!! She is a wonder- woman !!!!! (well this emoticon is closest to wonder-woman LOL) Hey - how about special emoticon for our Val ???
