I'm willing to bet, if you're having burning, your stool is too loose. I think the burning also proves to be a healing setback, as it probably injures the fissure. It's one pain that I feel clearly comes from the site of the fissure.
If you're gettintg fiber, then look at other foods that may be making your stools less firm. I was eating catalopes until I found they were the culprit in my mushy stool/burning episodes!
Goodbye, :bball: melons!

I know this is an old thread, but just wanted to share how I felt the first 2 weeks I found out about my fissure.
The first pain I felt I was at work, sitting down in my desk. I didn't know what was happening I just felt pain, escrutiating pain.
I remember getting up and standing for awhile, but the pain was growing,
I was beginning to sweat, my co-worker told me that I was turning red.
I had to ask to leave for the day because of this.
The area around my anus started to get really inflammated after that episode.
I was having sphincter spasms randomly throughout the days, it always started after my BM's.
This pain, I like to describe it as a knife just being down there and moving back in forth in the anus. The pain would last 1 hour, and sometimes it would last for 2 hours!!!! Image

Nothing unusual for a fissure - sorry to say Image But, to be on the safe side, you might like to see your CRS and check for infection Image
