that's great to hear lars! it is actually a little reassuring to me too, since i still haven't healed. my dr seemed to think it woud just take time, so maybe he's right. i'm happy for you! :D how's your pain now? what are you doing to manage your fissure everyday? baths, eating, meds, etc?? i'm just curious how you're taking care of it.
Thanks guys :) Yes I am very relived. At last I am on my way to healing :) Juney: I take Duplac to make the bm soft and try to just have one bm a day. I eat whatever I want to and do not follow a fissure diet. That has never made a difference for me. I do not drink alcohold because it makes me have multiple bms the other day. I take no meds and have never taken it either. Taking some baths but not every day. Only when it hurts after a bm.. Pain has decressed over the weeks after surgery but I am nowhere pain free. I can still feel the fissure since it is still very big. But it is only burning and soreness that is bothering me. The ache that I had down there is gone.. I am sure you have healed some too Juney inside. It just takes sooo long when we are dealing with ulcers insted of fissures...
lars - it seems like you're dealing well with this. you don't sound as obsessive over it as so many of us are. haha. i am completely obsessed with everything i put in my mouth. i also follow a specific routine (BMs, baths, wipes, ointment, etc) everyday. if i don't do everything exactly the same i feel like it'll be the end of me. sighhh. i feel like i've developed some type of Obsessive-Compulsive disorder because of this. LOL. i'm glad you're not the same!
Hi all I am still living in discomfort every day... But it is better than before LIS. The ache is completley gone. I only have itch, burning and soreness. I guess this is normal until the fissure complety heales.. My fissure is so big and wide that I don`t expect to be symptomsfree for another month or so. My CRS where so satisfied with the result after just 6 weeks so I try to not think so much about that I am still in discomfort. If I just had a normal fissure(1-5 millimeter) it would have healed weeks ago. I have a gigantic ulcer so I think this is normal. Thanks for asking Juney :) May we all heal soon.
Great to hear from you Lars - I was wondering how you were coping You are healing just fine and yes, it takes a long time for all of that to heal and reagin it's original strength and resilience. Just continue with good work and all should be fine ! I hope you can go out now and have some fun
