That is such great news! I have a huge smile on my face. You sound so triumphant. You needed a day like that to feel normal again and prove you are on your way.
It is so nice to feel like a woman and not like a patient, isn't it?

Juney !!
Sounds like a fantastic day!! May there be many more great days to come in the future! You making the effort to improve your life, in itself, exemplifies your persistence & strength. One of my closest friends is taking prozac and has suffered from anxiety attacks for some time now. Sometimes she'll be having a fantastic week (or even few weeks) and then one day will completely discourage her because the tears, stress, anxiety, etc. will come again. But I've mentioned to her before that this is all part of healing and it is perfectly normal - not wrong, not abnormal, not unwarranted - to cry every now and then or to feel upset/frustrated. It may feel like you're not progressing if you have another "down day" with lots of tears and stress, even I have days like that and am like "oh dear I'll never feel better..." But truthfully I think there is hope for us all, physically, mentally, psychologically and spiritually. Sometimes the "down days" can be fantastic because they remind us of the good days and how lucky we are to have so many good days, good moments. It looks like things are improving for you though!!!
Today I met an amazing man who turned out to be a Psychiatrist, he was leading a discussion somewhere and I happened to show up to the right place at the right time. He mentioned that just closing your eyes and sitting silently slows down your brain waves to 1/2 of the speed they are at during normal sensory processing. He said even if you just do this a few times a day, breathing deeply, it'll lower your blood pressure, reduce your anxiety, calm your spirit, and benefit your overall health. Just thought I'd share :)
Take care and thanks for sharing your awesome day Image !! Image

juney wrote:Image thanks you guys. i had a really painful friday that had me crying all day, but then yesterday i had probably the BEST day i've had since the surgery. practically NO PAIN! i went to a wedding and sat in the hard pews without any problems! i even went to the movies last night and ate ice cream AND even had sex with my boyfriend for the first time in forever. Image LOL. i did take an Aleve yesterday morning so that may have made things feel so good, but that's ok. i'm going to try and remind myself of yesterday whenever i feel low in the future. it was such a good day and i felt pretty normal. maybe proof that things are slowly improving?? i hope so.
i'm not sure if the prozac has kicked in or not, they say it can take a few weeks. i still cried a lot this week, but after yesterday i think the tears have dried for a little while at least.

Image Good for you Juney Image
Image I don't remember what that is anymore, my head is in the :flush:
