Juney,
Sounds like your mental outlook is much better. I agree--runny stools aren't good either. That's why the constant struggle to keep the bowels "just right" can wreak havoc with our minds and moods. Congrats on the improvements!

Heh , heh Juney - you are too cute Image - green tea is really good anti-oxidant and general tonic - good for you !I would still suggest drinking some chamomile and using some turmeric as supplement or a spice and also putting some chamomile on your butty together with white oak ; ))) !
There is also supplement called Wobenzym that is also natural anti- inflammatory.
Best of luck and I agree with Happy - may 2009 bring us all final and complete healing Image Image Image

I think you are right about the scar tissue and the repeated surgeries making it harder to heal. I think that has been the case with me too. That area is superthin and the nerves so traumatized that any little incident can cause the nerves to rev up.
Glad to hear that you feel more hopeful though. That is reassuring!

i'm considering getting another opinion at this point. has anyone had success with drs that specialize in wound healing? i don't feel like another CRS will make a difference.
the pain is worsening over the past couple days and it's more than just annoying. i feel like a bomb exploded in my anus everyday after BM. yesterday the feeling lasted from BM at 10am up until i went to bed at 11pm. aleve didn't even help.
despite the prozac i'm completely losing it right now. i haven't worked in months, i'm living with my parents, i never want to leave the house. i KNOW it could be worse but this situation is pretty horrible for me. i'm only 26 and i feel like my life is over because of this. i just can't pull myself out of it now, and the prozac isn't helping. i can't bear thinking about the rest of my life being like this.
does anyone have any ideas about different types of drs i should see to try and help this wound to heal?

I have often thought about trying to find a doctor that specialized in wound healing but not sure where to go. I would think someone who has seen non-healing ulcers like in diabetic patients might be able to help. I looked into hyperbaric treatments but it is pretty expensive, though it might be worth looking into.

I am sorry. I know how you feel. It is overwhelming and can makes things look so bleak when you are in pain. Do you know if the area is not-healed or could it be nerve-pain?

I might try some valium, xanax or flexeril to help relax your bottom some too. It also takes the edge off of anxiety. I know this must seem like a bottomless pit at times but you will get better. Don't give up hope.
