hi juney,
sorry about the keloid! i have no idea what that is so time to google it....
the hydrocortisone sounds odd for an opening especially for a fissure tear. i am not sure if that is productive or not. double check.
i wish you could come see dr. wright here in fairfax, va. i would love to see what he makes of your situation.
as far as a job opportunity, maybe you'll have to get creative and find something that will truly work around your schedule and your challenges. i have been toying around with the idea of dog walking when i go back to school full-time. the only thing is is that i wouldn't have health insurance but i am hoping obama will have worked something out by then!

Ha Juney I am not that good I remembered as it is my stepfathers birthday :D
I am sorry to hear that things are up and down still...
Surely something can be done scarring issue !
Its just crazy you are in this situation Image i hope you find some help for the keloid soon it could make all the difference Image
Prolonged hydrocortisone use can thin the skin but i know it is great at reducing inflammation !!
Thank the heavens you have the good days Juney Image
Take care

I wonder if you have some kind of underlyin connective tissue disease. Do you have any autoimmune problems?
I have found that zinc seems to help with my anal healing.
I also take celebrex to help with the inflammation as my body doesn't seem to want to accept that I am healed and keeps sending all the chemicals out as if I had a new wound.
I am sorry. I wish you had better news. I wonder if those silicone strips would help anal scars like they do elsewhere in the body?

Unfortunately the silicone strips just do not stick well, even with tape. I had a hard time keeping them on and they were very frustrating. I used them for months and they didn't help me much. Image

Juney -
I am so sorry you are not healing. I have been thinking of you and praying for you everyday.
What does your doctor say the next step is? Can he refer you so someone who specializes in wound healing?
Have you talked to Julie lately? Last time I talked to her, she was seeing some natural homeopatic doc. Please get in touch with her - she always has good advise for me.
I hope you feel better!

I'm sure you'll knock down that inflammation and heal nicely this year! Good luck, Juney!
