Oh Corsi Image
I think that formed feeling is part of the Botox Image It freaked me right out too !
I remember at that time i upped my movicol an extra teaspoon and started the magnesuim citrate Image
What about the stimulant laxtives ? Maybe that would help
Sorry you are down Image

Sorry Corsi,
How long have you taken the movical full dose? Sometimes it take 3-5 days to really starting working. Maybe you need to take more than a full dose? I know Cheryl takes about 2 doses/day. Senna is great to take occasionally.

Corsi,
I would suggest increasing the Movicol until you feel OK. How much are you taking? If you divide it in doses, it might be easier for you to regulate. Just a suggestion. All docs caution on taking Senna on a long-term basis. Movicol is much better to use (that is what they have all told me anyway).

Val, is magnesium the same as MOM? I haven't tried flaxoil, is it better than olive oil?
Jo, Cheryl and Tabby, I took a higher dose than recommended today. Hope it works, or maybe Miralax doesn't work on me.... Image Took 4 teaspoons with tha last meal today.
It should have worked now Jo, I have taken it for more than a week and have gradually upped the dose. I have bought one of the things my CRS suggested, but I dread taking it as the woman in the pharmacy told me again that it is only meant for short term use only....

It's so frustrating what you write Cheryl, one should think so, but my CRS says I have to take something to keep it soft. My husband is a bit annoyed with me for not doing what mys CRS tells me to... :( but I' so scared of destroying my digestion for ever!!!

I was taking mag supplements, stool softeners, and also a med for constipation all together b/4 switching to Miralax. I guess I will defer to your doc. I am sure he has your best interests in mind with his suggestions.

Magnesium is just a supplement whereas the MOM is a medicine although it has got magnesium in it. I take the mag pills every night and they really help. A teaspoon of flaxoil really makes a difference for me too but you would have to get the dose which is right for you - I never had any constipation issues at all so I would need less!

That formed feeling is part of the Botox, I am sure of it ! Image
It maybe that you need more movicol Image My med states one-two sachets daily
Stimulants are not suppose to be used long term but for a short period there should be no problem, it may just help in passing things through quickly ! Which is maybe why your CRS has prescribed this for you Image
I really hope things are better for you today dear Corsi Image

Hi Corsica,
I am sorry things are still too formed. I would take the miralax in the morning and try 1/4 dose of the MOM before you go to bed. Or you could just take 400 mg of magensium supplement to start and see how that does.
I like flax seed oil a bit better than olive oil as it seems to not digest as much and gives a very nice coating to the stool, so even if it is formed, it shouldn't bite you on the way out.
I hope today is better. :heartballoon:
