why let yourself suffer!? seriously just have the surgery mines gets better from time to time but im still set on surgery because even if u did heal on your own the reccurance rate is too high for me to live with....surgery lowers that risk...i haven't got the date i just know its within 4-6 weeks

I think truthfully I'm just kind of a sissy Image It's been nearly a year so I kind of doubt that my fissure will just suddenly heal on its own now, but I'm also scared of surgery... Plus the fissure symptoms are tolerable for the most part (they make life kind of suck but aren't crippling), so I kind of wonder if surgery is worth it. I've got a few other chronic conditions that I just live with, so I'm kind of used to living with a little discomfort Image

lol fissure pain is more than a little discomfort it rules everything you eat everything you drink every medicine you take it rules your life!!! i've had lots of surgeries and the outcome is always alwayssssss worth it....you'll have painkillers and u wont feel a thing and a life without pain is better than a life with a little discomfort Image

haha yup I think I've just become kind of complacent because even though my fissure still bugs the hell out of me, it isn't absolutely murdering me like it was in the beginning. I recently read through some of my first few posts on this site and they definitely sound like a much more desperate person. I'm just kind of hanging around in that limbo between being healed and suffering terribly, hoping that something changes for the positive Image
